don't panic yet! I had p.r. from October to June of last year. This year I didn't get it until December and who knows how long it will last! I would suggest that if it does not go away after the spring is over, consult your physician again. Not really much you can do, other than smothering your child in calamine lotion if it itches, benedryl or any oatmeal bath. If it doesn't itch, try the benedryl (gel) or oatmeal (Aveeno) lotion. It worked for me. Now I only have a discolored mark on my left calf and the one that was on my hip is totally gone.
