A few questions.

I've had fluctuating severity of Acne for about 2 years now (the day I stepped into high school), and I have a general question on how to treat it. I have to admit, I'm quite the chronic product junky. I go to a supermarket and end up buying anything that is appeasing to the eye. For instance, "pore tightening", "3 in 1", etc. usually act as catalysts for me to purchase the product.

Now, my first question: is it harmful to mix products? When I say mix, I mean using products made by different companies. For instance, a face cleasner from Clearasil and a cream of somesort from Clean and Clear.

My next question revolves around frequency. How frequently should one wash his/her face? I habituated a routine of three times a day, but my face becomes dry very easily. Lotion is usually always required after washing my face.

Is the use of an Acne treatment cream is neccessary. After washing my face with a cleanser, I usually apply some sort of cream or medication onto my face. Would it be better to simply just leave that step out? Just wash my face with my usual cleanser and leave it be?

Now, about exfoliation. I use St. Ives fruit scrub every Wednesday and Sunday, since I heard it was most likely to worsen Acne if used too frequently. How should exfoliation properly be used?

It's been a while since anyone has posted on this forum so I hope that someone is still around to answer my questions. Thanks.
