Did I stir up a hornet's nest?
Several days ago, I dry brushed my upper thighs and was a bit overly aggressive. Later that day the skin in that area was red and puffy, then it turned into little bumps. The area was very sensitive to the touch, particularly the right leg. The day after, I had an odd, nerve-like sensation along my right hip and upper thigh area.
The skin irritation is mostly gone now. However, since I've done this, I've been experiencing an odd sensation (not really a pain, though) in my lower right abdomen, near the hip bone. The sensation seems to be most noticable at night. When I turn over in bed, especially to lay on my back, I really feel it. But when I'm up and about - walking, doing things at work, etc., it's not bothersome. When I press on the area, it's not sensitive or tender, either. What gives?
Did I stir up some kinds of toxins or something? Or is it possible I just may have pulled a muscle or ligament that has nothing to do with the dry brushing?
Any advice or ideas?
(I do NOT want to go to a doctor).
