Re: A little concerned

Thnaks. The Probiotics I am using are from NewChapter. There are 10 strains placed in an organic soy and vegetable culture. The probiotics I am using are meant for sensitive colons (due to my condition). I am keeping them refrigerated.

A little note, since starting the probiotics and cat's claw yesterday, I have not seen the seedlike forms in my stool this morning. However, I am a little tired.

Southern Belle, if you are reading this, the response by "anonymous" was me. I forgot to put in my name. Thanks to both of you for your comments.

A good probiotic containing live bacteria would be preferable for certain bacteria count. It should also have at least 10 different strains with many colonizing strains. Different bacteria works in the different regions of the GI tract. The colonizing strains ensure that it will crowd out the harmful bacteria and prevent it from returning. Make sure too that the probiotic is protected from the strong stomach acids (coated if freeze dried) so that it can be properly delivered to the intestines for it to be effective.
