I'm only speaking from experience here as I'm not a medical person of any sort...just a regular guy (even more regular now that I take psyllium every day!).
Here are the results that I had with the shakes...
I jumped right into it with 3/day and was always 'heavy' on the clay. Meaning, I never measured it, just hand poured it, but probably would put in a couple tablespoons in each shake. On the 11th day, I passed what I thought was a dead skunk with the consistency of a bicyclc innertube. Freaked me out bigtime...
After that, I continued to pass it for several weeks...gradually started to decrease in amount, but it was 'always' a part of the 2-3-4 bm's per day.
I was and am drinking a lot of water...don't measure it out, but there is no lack or shortage of H2O for me at all. I'm about 145 pounds, 38 years old, in good health otherwise, no symptoms...and I have always enjoyed being a carnivore, but my diet is pretty varied...I'm fortunate to have a very good/fast metabolism. I don't want to get into what I think about vegetarianism as I think much of that is political and agendized...but my point is that I think everyone has MP to some degree or other no matter you diet. Does plaque accumulate on your teeth? It does on mine...seems not too far of a stretch to consider that it may also be in your gut. Everyone's gut...vegetarians or carnivores.
As for backing up, how much psyllium are you taking in per shake? It may be too much. In fact, I think if you really want to see results, you would up the amount of clay as I did...I think that is the magic bullet here. The psyllium is great and got me to be more regular, but I think it's the clay that really gets in there and cleans out the crud. In fact, if you are already regular with enough poop sessions per day, then I would only put a small amount of psyllium in each shake.
So now, it's 5 months later and I am still taking the shakes b/c I like being very regular. Keeps my ass happy...and my ass is happiest when it's regular. In fact, about 3-4 weeks ago, after going to the pottie, I felt "that" weird feeling again. Looked into the shitter afterwards and saw that a whole clump of MP had found its way out of me...after all this time or not passing ANY. It was crazy...
The bottom line is that I think that everyone has it. I would up the amount of B you are taking in each shake and maybe back off on the psyllium somewhat. It's the psyllium that swells you up as it sets up like plaster of paris! That's how I did it...will it work for you? I can't say. But you've come this far. I would modify the shake contents a little bit and soon you may be seeing dead skunk innertubes in a commode near you, too!
