Indigestion accompanies disorders of the digestive tract. Symptoms may include gas, abdominal pain, heartburn, a bloated feeling or nausea. It can be caused by stress, eating too fast, not chewing your food well, foods that are too high in fat, constant medication, tobacco and producing either too much or too little (HCL) Hydrochloric Acid, which is stomach acid. Coffee should be avoided as well as alcohol. Peppermint oil and Ginger Root have been know to be helped in eliminating intestinal gas. Though I have not acquired a taste for it, there is a healing factor in cabbage juice and bananas have been shown to protect the stomach from stomach acids. My best recommendation would be to take an effective herbal Colon Cleanse to begin with and then daily use of plant-based digestive enzymes for best results.
