I can't remember if soy is naturally occurring or not, but assuming it is, remember that nobody ATE soy until they figured out how to ferment it, and that would have been in asia so I guess the Bible people didn't know about soy. Soy was used to replentish soil in crop rotation, and we do know that soy is toxic for the body. I believe the weston price organization has some interesting information about soy. So perhaps this Jordan guy is basing his position on soy on the fact that most people over the centuries only ate small amounts of fermented soy. Anyway, if you wanted to eat it naturally, you'd have to eat something like non-GMO edamame (whole beans in pod steamed). Because by the time you get a soy burger, that is NOT natural anymore. One look at the ingredients on those different kind of "burgers" and you can see they did some major alteration.
