First of all...I wish they had chosen a different name for this book, as it is more than just a diet. It is a holistic approach to health that is primarily about diet, but includes so much more!!!
I just finished reading The Maker's Diet and am so encouraged and excited about this approach. It seems that so many of the Health Forums on this website advocate a vegan or vegetarian diet, which includes alot of raw fruits and veggies that I am not able to eat with my food allergies . It has been frustrating to me to figure out what to eat - what I can tolerate and provides good nutrition at the same time. This diet is a common sense approach to eating, which provides variety and balance, along with excellent nutritional support.
I am on my way to Whole Foods with my shopping list to begin my 40-day health program and will keep you posted.
