Re: Why do they think I'm "broken"?

I don't think you're broken, no more than everyone else is at least. Emotions are hard. Pain is easy. Stops your head feeling like its going to implode. 'How to stop' is all it seems to say on the web sites. I guess they're all written by phyciatrists, relatives of people who cut or people who don't need it anymore. (I'm probably generalising cause there must be thousands of sites out there.) But people don't cut themselves cause they want to upset everyone who cares about them. It's cause they need to do it. That's why I do it anyway. It keeps me sane. (Well less insane at least.) Maybe in the future we won't need to. I keep reading that this is a coping mechanism. If people try to force us to stop when we're not ready it'll just make things worse. We won't be able to 'cope'. So no, I don't think you need to be fixed, I just think that most people will never be able to fully understand this.
