Do you hear from God?

If you don't hear love what are you hearing?

But this is what I commanded them, saying, 'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you. "Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. (Jeremiah 7:23-24 NKJV)

I actually hear God speak to me but sometimes it is just a quiet still voice.
"It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. (John 6:44-45)

When we hear from God it should be the precursor of good werks(your heart is changed before you can do the will of God):
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Eph 2:8-10)


Quit boasting and saying the blessing you have from Jesus is for just people like you:
This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many. (Mark 14:24)

If you think God doesn't speak to us but through scripture look at this: "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," (Heb 10:15-16)

We can ask God about everything we do to go left or right or this way or that....If you know the voice of God, a voice that is love, you are truly God's people.
Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. (1stCor 2:9-12)

It is not what you say or what you do...have a heart full of love...this is the material that you lay before God at the white throne judgement:
He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears. (Isa 11:2-3)

But you who say God quits speaking to men but in scripture have not tuned your hearts to hear from God:
I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:12-15)

Be of good cheer and tilt your heart toward love and you will hear from God.
