Affirmations for Joy
Re: I need some examples
Dear Italian Girl,
An Affirmation can be present tense statement of positive outcomes, as if they are happening now. In reality, we are mostly not experiencing the bounty that we are attempting to project in our Affirmation. We can choose words for our affirmations, that indicate we are presently recieving the gifts for which we are asking. Affimations are discussed in the Foundations Course of
Science of Mind Church, scienceofmind.org. I took the course several years ago, and I have been using affirmation off and on since then. I reviewed some of my materials just now, before writing to you. Some books are "The
Science of Mind, by Ernest Holmes, and "Living the
Science of Mind"
One of the tangential purposes of Affirmations was alluded to by Alandra. By stating the affirmation over and over during the day, or each morning, other thoughts will occur to our minds. You may make notes of the ideas that come to mind, as these may reflect more of our current belief system, and reveal some related, or hidden, beliefs that may lead to understanding any blocks we are experiencing, and identify issues for attention that could yield increased energizing.
An affirmation should be a short, simplistic phrase.
JOY is presenting itself to me in each conscious perspective, and in each phase of transition of ideas.
Affirmations should contain wording that is persosnal to you, so change my words, to yours. Other, better Affirmations will come to mind, write those down also.
Blessings
