Re: Divorce

I wanted to add something. As the Church of God, it is our duty to look after our brothers and sisters in the Lord. If a sister is being abused, it is the place of the Church to reach out to her and help her in any way we can. If she needs to seperate from her husband, we should make it possible so that if she choses to based on what the Lord is calling her to do, and upon biblical principle, she will be able to care for her children and live a holy and fulfilling life whether her husband returns to the Lord or whether he does not. Jesus said a man who marries a divored women is guilty of adultry, but the real problem is that these women are remarrying out of desperation. Where is the Church in her time of need? Where is the help she needs? How can we as Christians condemn so readily when we are the ones who let the situation happen, even to the point of making it happen? What we can do about it as Christians is to reach out to our brothers and sisters, those who are having marriage problems etc, and just be supportive. Don't dessert them! Don't be rude to the man/woman that has the problem because it takes two to start the bitterness, and what follows is symptoms.
