I can understand your confusion. I have had the same thoughts and questions. Especially hard for me are the energy issues whether its Orgone energy, Reiki healing, and other similar things. On one hand the testimonials sound promising and exciting. Yet, there is also the question of is this within God's will. I don't want to become so closed minded that I cannot think outside the box of traditional Christianity (or maybe its churchianity in some cases) but, I do desire to be in accordance to the scriptures and God's will. Satan has many clever and appealing devices he can use to lead even the most sincere people astray. One thing I would say is that if it "feels" wrong then avoid it. I read a lot of forums here and while many of the leaders sound quite knowledgeable in their field of natural healing, other ideas they promote are plainly contrary to Biblical teaching. Some seem to be plainly opposed to fundamental Christianity, yet still claim to be "Christian" with added knowledge or revelations.
I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is inerrant. While our interpretation and understanding may be flawed, the Book in itself is perfect. We need to pray for the gift of discernment as we read and study things that are controversial and possibly goes against our faith. I'm sorry I have no definitive answer for you, indeed I've just raised more questions for myself.
