I forget if it was Socrates or Plato that said that ( they collaborated but had different points of view on their love of knowledge and wisdom (philo-sophy), but, before you can truly understand anything, you must admit that you don't have all the answers (wonder). Congratulations, trapper, The Lord opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). In time trapper, you will be convinced that Jesus is God, all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him (Matthew 28:18).
The triune nature of God is one of the mysteries of God and not PERFECTLY understood because mankind does not have PERFECT words to express that concept.
The Trinity is-
Father (creation)
Son (salvation)
Holy Ghost/Spirit (the living character of God)

The god of confusion keeps the truth (and the PROPER understanding of it) from being recognized by all of humanity, not just believers. When someone (believer or not) does something wrong, whether they are aware (conscious) of the merit of what they've done or not, their conscience knows the truth and they will have a "seared" conscience that haunts them. Because of their seared conscience, they will tend to always be 'defensive' in everything they do, say and think (they have a defensive nature, that's PART of human nature). Everybody has a conscience (the parents of the human race ate of the tree of conscience), but not everyone lets their conscience be ACTIVE and let their conscience determine their behavior. The tendency to react to a seared conscience by becoming a bitter person only leads to ruination and more evil, but the choice to humble oneself and learn from our mistakes will produce a BETTER [for the experience] person, BITTER or BETTER, it's a personal choice (based on our capacity for humility, enabling us to learn).

As we grow up in childhood, we collect information about what is acceptable behavior and what isn't, and develop a CODE of 'MORALITY' (what is acceptable in our society/culture/family/environment may not be acceptable in others). Any violation of a code (whether it be a fashion code, honor code, legal code, procedural code, PROTOCOL, etc.) is a sin against that code. The Pharisees bound (subjected) themselves to a code of PERFECTION (The Ten Commandments), but had no personal ETHICS regarding their failure to obey COMPLETELY all of the ten commandments, neither did they have compassion on (LOVE/respect for) the sufferers of the consequences. They still had consciences of course, but IGNORED/were not concious of their conscience. We must be CONSCIOUS/aware of our conscience (self conscious). Remember The Lord identified Himself as "I AM" to a people He chose to be His own (as opposed to an INDIVIDUAL, such as Adam, Noah, etc.). He wants us to be aware of our conscience because our conscience establishes our IDENTITY. He wants us to be able to identify with Him in our personal relationship.

It is good that you do not understand (and that it doesn't make sense to you) man's law or consider man's ways to be logical (so then, YOU AGREE with God that "human nature is human folly").
