Why does GOd change his views/Change instructions?Does anyone know

Hi,

u know in the old testament God had his ten comandments.He had specific instructions for everythin from the altar to the festival.Everythin was to be done in that way.The laws of the land were strict.He doesnt talk about generally about love or isnt shown as a lovable person.

What jesus teches about life is completely different from the ten commandments.Some of the points are same but theres a general change in everythin.i know im bein vague but i am not qualified to look up the points in the bible.
Remember in the old testemant he told man to avoid certain foods.But in the new testament he say anythin can be eaten and likewise i believe there are a lot of chabges.
WHy this change?I thought god was firm and not chamgeble in his views.Why is he a changing god?

Someonr i know told me it was because the policies of certain age are different age.God saw that the the old teachings were not enough for this new age and so he changed them.
