Re: When did God give man permission to eat animals....?
Following is a link that someone, probably on this forum, gave me.
As far as blood coursing through the veins, I don't have any specific sites. It seems like I read recently that the blood is one of the most toxic parts of either humans or animals. That would make sense to me why God does not want us to eat it. And from a kosher aspect, I believe that when animals are slaughtered, their throats are slit so that their blood drains out instead of recirculating throughout their system. If it is allowed to recirculate, say when they are shocked or bludgeoned to death, the stress hormones that they secrete will be circulated into all their muscle tissues, then passed onto us. None of us needs any more stress hormones circulating through our system in this day and age. At least I don't anyway. But finances is also an issue.
Personally, I ate the Genesis 1:29 way for several years, and I eventually developed some health issues, especially anemia. However, on the same note, I have a girlfriend who cured her colon cancer while on this type of diet and still eats this way.
God will lead you in the way he wants you to eat at this time in your life.
