I had a dental implant and nearly died from it

Dental implants are very unsound. In the long term, they are the last alternative and even then they may bring subtle changes to a person that decrease their quality of life forever.

On my website, www.geocities.com/alternativetooth/index.htm, I've listed some of the alternative methods of dental care that I now use.

There's also some material about tooth regeneration. Since researching tooth regeneration I've come across 8 ways of doing it and I'm now working on achieving it.

Dental implants, like dental fillings, corrode the skeleton. Dental Science doesn't reflect this because the studies are funded by companies like Dow and Branemark (the makers of implants) so the research findings suffer from experimenter bias.

I have almost completed a Science degree by the way so I understand the research reports quite well. I don't agree with everything they say.

Holistic medicine practitioners are well aware of the way that dental implants can compromise the integrity of an individual. I must repeat that I had a dental implant and nearly died from it even though there was no actual infection. The problem was that a dental implant is simply a very alien thing to put in a growing body. I had my implant removed when I realised this and things improved for me.

Best wishes,

Sebastian Reed
