Re: Music affects me deeply....

Wow
Yes music can affect you powerfully

I used to love the Associations. Had an old LP of my parents I listened to daily (with headphones). I got really mad at my sister one time when she turned the power off (she did that a LOT) and so my dad broke the record. In retrospect, it was a good thing. But I do have fond memories whenever I hear them - I should buy a tape or CD of them, I especially liked "Along Comes Mary"

My friend gave me the song "I Miss You" by Incubus when I was moving away from the country. It really moves me when I listen to it; I remember my friend and how I really appreciate and miss him.

Another time, a friend of mine was kicked out of school for doing something terrible, and went back to India. It really traumatized me. I would listen to "Thank you" (who is that by?) and it really seemed to help, because I was so grateful for my friendship with that guy even though it was short and traumatic.
