I just saw The Station Agent on DVD, and I loved this quiet, funny, touching little independent film. It's about a dwarf who works in a toy train shop repairing trains, and decides to move to the middle of nowhere when his boss dies and leaves him some property. He intends to live the life of a hermit (since he gets a lot of negative attention as a dwarf), but meets an interesting cast of eccentric characters that persistently befriend him in spite of his wish to be alone. It's not as Fellini-esque as it sounds... A wonderful break from the blockbuster big hollywood fare. Thumbs up from me!
