Oh see now I haven't done Fellini yet!Argh!!! In "Under the Tuscan Sun" they kept talking about the Maestro and I didn't know all the references and swore I'd get around to watching all of his. :)
I think it was 1999. Really a banner year. :) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon came out around then too. I almost gave up on movies after that, thought, what could top this?
I can't ever name my favorite movies unless it's a specific list. Just can't pick one out of all of them! :)
I like all kinds, from the mindless popcorn action films to the intelligent independents, martial arts, romantic comedies (as long as they don't have Meg Ryan WHAT do people SEE in her? I don't get it.). But mostly I like those that redefine or combine genres somehow, like Kill Bill does, and I hope Van Helsing will too.
