I've been watching Survivor: Vanuatu (as well as other Survivor seasons). When one tribe won milk, cookies, and a huge chocolate cake, it started me thinking. Here these people are, eating stuff like boiled plantains, freshly-caught fish, and coconuts. Maybe not much more than that, but it's a reasonable diet for a month, fairly healthy. The rewards are frequently JUNK food, however! A giant chocolate cake? A coffee maker and a huge supply of coffee? Beer/wine? (Must have a drunken revelry each season) Of course if it's right in front of you, you'll probably eat it! It seems like it would be better to not win those "rewards" (wait for the massage or the cruise) instead of shooting your performance ability in the foot by having blood Sugar crashes and depleted adrenal glands!
