Wax building in ear and sound of rushing steam

Hi, all!

This is my first post to this forum.

This is my major concern. I don't know if I'm at the right forum for this problem.

I had an outpatient "operation" about 3 - 6 months ago to remove scar tissue from a previous operation.

Shortly after that, I started to experience the "sound of rushing steam" coming "from within my ears".

At my check-up, I mentioned this to the surgeon and his only response was, "It was from the operation".

Okay, problem #2, one of the ladies from the church mentioned a "candle" that one can buy at GNC. It will take care of the built of wax.

I've had this problem going back 30 years.

Until I lost it, I had a large plastic syringe, which was easily, 2 - 3" wide and 8 inches long. Every so often I would push warm to hot water in to my ears. I would see huge chunks of wax come out.

I then started to use q-tips after a shower, which led to more problems.

Can somebody PLEASE help me.
