i almost bought some spring tree at the store and then waited only to end up buying some at a health food store.
it was definitely cheaper that the others. it says in the book that the grade A dark amber kind is basically what used to be known as grade B. and that what is important is just that you have the darker amber color. some stores have grades b and C but these grades just indicate the darkness, and therefore the mineral content. you shoudl be fine with that. i have made an effort to get organic maple syrup this time too though, since it also says in the Master-Cleanse Burroughs book that some manufacturers tap the trees with formaldehyde!
The spring tree i bought at the health store had a certified organic label so i guess they must have two kinds. either way, seems to be on sale everywhere right now!
good luck.
