Okay, so I've been on 600-700 calories per day for the last 15 days -- oh the horror some people say! BUT, on Monday I go on a 500-600 calorie day fast and no one blinks an eye! Why - because it's on TV! The medifast program is popular here in San Diego (five 90 calorie shakes per day) - so my calorie intake will actually go down. However, I'm doing the fast strictly for weight loss, and I did the cleanse for the health benefits and to get my body "ready".
It's the unknown that people are afraid of, and I bet if the Lemonaid diet was highligthed on CNN you would be getting High 5's.
You're fine -- and you're getting more nutrients from this diet than (probably) many of your friends.
Hang in there - your body will thank you for it!
