Re: Mother's Day with MY Mother, the nurse
(This is not a slam against your Mom.....give her an extra Mother's Day hug from me!)
A good reason to stay away from hospitals!!!!!!! You are taking in nourishment so you won't be needing an IV any time soon. The medical community in general doesn't believe that we can be healed without their support and medication up to the eyeballs.
MDs are the distributors of this belief and Nurses work in that environment. Of course not 100% of them have that attitude but most do.
In the end you should do what you are most comfortable with...at least I would.
For those of you who are Christian and believe in the Word then you know that Jesus fasted for 40 days. He took in less nourishment than we do on the lemonade fast. When someone asks what I am up to and then they try to give me a hard time about the fast I remind them of Jesus and tell them I might try to last as long as he did. Just trying to follow His example!
Whatever you do, make sure you enjoy the day with your Moms. All Moms deserve at least one special day each year.
