First I can sympathize - toothaches are the WORST. I would tell the dentist that you don't want to go on Antibiotics , and I'm sure they can accomodate. I had a root canal and crown and ended up not having to go on Antibiotics . As long as they clean all the abcess out, you should be fine (keeping fingers crossed).
