Thanks very much for that. Yeahh, I'm hoping that someone can firstly suggest what might be wrong.

Is there anything that someone without a gall bladder can take to "mop up" excess bile ?

I understand that Cholestyramine (Questran) can be used for this purpose but I think this has some nasty side effects.
