Well, if you didn't have a hobby before, now you have one; flushing out your stones. Also, you will find, now that you have a vested interest, there is a tremendous amount to learn here about taking care of your body.

Your instinct to hold back until you get some basic questions answered is a good one. It is better to have all your organs and a minor health problem than it is to be -1 organ and try to regain your health.

Both you and 2ndchance are in a lucky spot. You have the opportunity to recover from this - intact. Let me give you a few items to study relating to your diet etc:

Fish oil, Flax oil - omega 3 and 6 EFAs (essential fatty acids)
- these solubilize the bad colesterol.

Coenzyme Q

Vitamin B6, 12, Folic acid - liver function. liquid vitamin B is great too.

Glutathione - a natural part of liver's house cleaning mechanism.

Liver aid (cysteine, choline, inositol) increases natural glutathione.

Glutamine - increases glutathione

Alpha lipoic acid - improves blood lipid profile - increases HDL

Psyllium (dietary fiber) binds up cholesterol, reduces bad cholesterol (LDL) and makes the digestive system work great.

Lower Carb diet- decrease the amount of refined Sugar in your diet since Sugar gets converted directly to triglycerides otherwise. eat veggies

Herbs:
Milk thistle- protects and nurtures the liver, fixes damage.

Goldenseal- improves bile flow

SAM E - S-Adenosyl Methionine - helps liver function a lot.
