i had gullbladder surgery last summer. 4 days later i was in the er. after being in the hosiptal for 3 days i found out i had a common bile duct injury. i was transfered to a hospital 1 hour away. i then had surgery to have stents placed in my liver and where my gullbladder use to be. i had no clue what was going on. i did not understand how this could happpen. my orgingal surgen never explained to me what was going on, he just stated i was being transfered to the other hospital and that i had an injury to my bile duct. i had stents and bags connected to them for 4 months. i had a 10 week old and a 2 year old at home. this was the worst experience of my life. after 4 long painful months i had reconstructive surgery. they were able to repair the bile duct but i still had the stints for 3 more months. i am just getting better. its so hard, my baby hardly knows me.
i still have pain but i try to do a little more each day. i just think of my kids and i know they need their mom to be strong and healthy.
i know there are so many people out there going through the same thing i whent though. i would like them to know they are not alone. i had no one to talk to about what i was going through and i do not wish that on anyone. stay strong and know their is an end.
