My Favorite GB page

I'm wondering if anyone knows how risky ERCP is for removing stones from the common bile duct. I read somewhere about the a baloon procedure being used to open the sphincter of oddi (ampulla de ...). Seems less risky than sphincterotomy in which they cut the sphincter to allow stones to come out. Seems like there is a much greater risk of infection w/ any cutting.

Has anyone had this procedure done?
