foot pain after dog bite

someone else posted about a dog bite and wasnt answered, i also find it strange that there are no other animal bite forums on cz. i was attacked by my brother's dog during a fight recently; he grabbed onto my foot and tried to rip it off. he's a medium/small sized dog though so his attempt to dismember me was fruitless, but it was a hell of a bite. very swollen, my whole foot and ankle were reletively numb. i cleaned it up the best i could. one puncture was particularly deep and bled a little well into the next day. i never went to the hostpial or doctor, i still owe one hospital $4000 for being laughed at and given the run around. i thought i had a stroke, they laughed it off as a 'bad headache' or migraine; neither here nor there. the swelling had gone down, i still lack some feeling around the immediate wound areas; but when i stretch my foot, i feel this pins and needles type pain in my foot and toes, is this a result of the physical trauma? i'd like to think its not an infection, but i've been told that the feet were susceptable to blood infections due to poor circulation. i was attacked by a german shepard in a similar manner (tried to rip my foot off lol) about 10 years ago, but that was really at the ankle, it healed without any medical treatment and i was fine. any help will be appreciated. thanks.
