Inguinal hernia
Hello. My husband has an inguinal hernia. I first noticed this during sex by feeling something down in his testicle. It bulges along his leg sometimes & once in a great while, it will be noticed in his testicle. I know this needs to be repaired with surgery, & from what I understand, that is the only fix available. It is reducible (he can push it back) so I know it's not something super-serious that needs to be taken care of right away. I also realize, that it has to be done, so we should get it taken care of soon. The problem is that we don't have health insurance, and money is really tight right now. What I am looking for is any information about anything he can do to delay the surgery. Are there any exercises? He is NOT in great shape. He has gained probably 40
pounds in the last 4-5 years. And he does not like exercise. I try to get him to exercise more, but he doesn't. BUT, if someone said it helped them or there is something to try for this, then he would. Any other things that he may try that may work would be greatly appreciated. Also, which type of surgery is best, laproscopic or traditional open hernia repair? Thanks again up front for any & all info.
