Lower abdominal pain after inquinal surgery operation

A week ago, my husband had a very large inguinal hernia mended (using mesh). He seems to be healing fine, but he complains of pain in his lower left abdomen (in line with navel and below on the left side). He takes Schulze's Formula 1, drinks some juices along with regular meals, and various digestive enzymes and other supplements.

We are wondering if, due to the rearrangement of his digestive system from the operation, whether this could be causing the discomfort and whether it will probably "work out" in time.

He has had pain in this area before the operation as well.

Does anyone have experience with post operative symptoms of this sort?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciative.

Sincerely,

Beverly
