Natural Treatments for Fibroids

I had a number of symptoms mentioned in this forum (heavy bleeding - with large clots), went to an OB who wanted to put me on meds, the said she would probably do a hysterectomy. I also found out that I had a pre-cancerous condition in my uterus due to the hormones & antibiotics in the meat & diary products I had been consuming over the years. Since it wasn't immediately life-threatening, I thought, "Absolutely not!" NO DRUGS & NO SURGERY!! Our bodies are amazing & are quite capable of healing themselves - given the proper care & nutrition. I didn't walk, but RAN to the nearest Naturopathic Doctor who focuses on women's health issues (over an hour away). Although I won't go into details on each of the treatments (to save on space & unless needed), here is what she had me do: NATURAL Progesterone suppositories - to help balance out the estrogen dominance & help shrink the fibroids; these can be obtained through a prescription from a compounding pharmacy. They are suppositories so that they will by-pass the liver & immediately benefit the uterus. Some people use a cream, but I needed something stronger to start out & will eventually go back to the cream. Get off all meat & dairy products - for a while - to give your body a chance to reverse the estrogen dominance. I was able to eat ORGANIC meat once a month. Catfish is a great protein alternative. Caster oil packs - use @ 3 x per week over the uterus, which will also help the fibroids shrink. This treatment has helped a LOT & I my symptoms are now under control. I also did quite a few supplements to fight the pre-cancerous condition, but they aren't pertinent to this discussion. However, I am happy to say that the condition is now REVERSED & I got a NORMAL test back. The body CAN HEAL ITSELF. If you are able to go to a Naturopathic Doctor, I really encourage you ladies to seriously consider it. There are no side effects from the natural treatments that I used.
