There is no real evidence to suggest that you get faster results in terms of releasing muciod placque by fasting. You fast in order to take care of other symptoms, not mucoid placque. YOu get rid of mucoid placque by bowel management, the more fiber you eat the better.
If you want to get rid of it fast, then do P&B shkaes AND enemas and colonics and herbs - ginger, cayenne, the cleansing drink, and avoid dairy.
Rather than have getting rid of it as a goal, try to make your goal having a healthy bowel. I never had any MP, not everyone does, but everyone needs to establish healhty bowels.
