Hi Shelleycat - regarding store bought kefir..

Do you know? Sometimes my kefir containers start expanding. The lid just blew off when I opened a container because it was under so much pressure. The kefir still tastes fine. Do you think it is still safe to consume? Is it just the good bacteria multiplying? Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
