LIke Ladywear says, you can have a damaged, fatty, congested, weak liver with very few complaints going on. But any of these can be a sign of liver troubles beginning:

insomnia
digestive complaints - pain, gas, acid reflux, constipation
fatty deposit around the waist, below ribs, a "pouch"
foggy-headedness, aphasia, absent-mindedness
depression, irritability, quick to anger/frustration
inability to lose weight
yellow skin, eyelids, green urine
clay-colored (gray clay), pale or yellow stools
vertical lines between eyebrows
