We do not have any children of our own and I am 47 1/2, so unless Yahweh wills it, things don't look real promising right now.
We checked into adoption several years ago and even the least expensive was out of our price range - we do not make very much money. The Catholic Charities International Adoption Agency gave a seminar and adoptions started at around $10,000 for a child from another country. Russian children were going for around $20,000.
Please be very careful. I know there are some wonderful and legitimate agencies out there, but there are also some scam artists.
Do you know what agency you will be working with? Best to you.
