Why do people think A.A. is about money????????

Why do people say A.A. is about money when it is only a dollar and you do not even have to put a dollar in....I am in the program and I do put One dollar in most of the time not everytime but also know plenty of people that never do and thats fine...Plus the dollar u put in pays for the rent of the building cakes, donations, etc...So in my opinion when people state this it is coming from them being in DENIAL...i would like some feeback and maybe i can learn more about all this.....

As well there are other issues in the program I do not like such as bad apples but there are bad apples everywhere you go so I dont allow that to distract me away from what the program does offer...If i start getting offensive about the meetings than i must take a look at myself and my attitude and know that something in me needs to change...I have been in soberity for 6 months and life is beautiful for me...For today God has allowed the program to teach me how to stay sober.
