Re: ive had this problem for 7 years and counting

I also forgot to mention that on certain days when I have more or less accepted my ex-cheilitis, and I am not ‘thinking’ about it, my natural automatic body starts to kick in. I have noticed that I will start to do things with my lips that I did not 'THINK' about, a natural body response. I will not explain what the responses are because that would make you think about them, causing them to be unnatural, which causes the problem. I will just say to be open to whatever your body wants to do (NOT YOUR THINKING MIND) and not to deny these urges. AND TO NOT LET FEAR BE A MOTIVATING FACTOR. Its kind of like letting your body do what it needs to do and not getting in the way :)

On these days when I am not concerned about how my lips look and I don’t look in the mirror, I have noticed that my lips are in much better shape through out and at the end of the day. For example, it’s almost like when you try to think about how to walk, you start walking weird and unnatural. Or, if you denied the bodies natural tendency to blink and were only blinking based on when your ‘thinking mind’ told you to, your eyes would dry right out. I believe that something similar is going on here with exfoliative cheilitis.

I would say to just be open your bodies natural responses and not to deny them through the 'thinking mind'. Again, Total Acceptance will solve this problem :) Something happens when I practice Total Acceptance and my lips seem to start to work normally again untill my mind gets in the way again :/ I guess it can be explained this way, when you don’t care about healing your lips anymore or how they look, you stop thinking about them, thus encouraging the automatic body to function normally again. Make sense? I hope so :)
