Very Helpful - MUST READ re Cause of Peeling Lips
I have previously posted a message on this forum about 2 months ago under the name Accord. Read that for a background on the problem i have been dealing with for the past 3 years.
I have done a fair bit of research on it as i find that it is a very big problem which has a large impact on my confidence and life in general. I was reading a message on a different site a while ago. It was by 'Critter' which im sure many of you would be familiar with by his posts on here. He had a post regarding the absorbtion of essential oils into the bloodstream through the skin. He goes on to say that he has healed his problem (i really hope you have, that is GREAT)by applying the essential oils onto his arm or stomach to absorb into the bloodstream through the skin where it otherwise would by taking the oils oraly. However he mentions that for some reason his body cant absorb them oraly due to problems with his intistine walls (im not that sure what the problem was). This may be the problem with the inability to absorb due to a problem with out insides.
However, his method of applying oils to the skin led me to think why i have had this problem for only the last 3 years... maybe its been something i have been applying to my skin especially my wrist where the skin is very thin. I am now 21 and this problem with my lower lip has really taken off since i left school(age 17) ever since i have always worn colongue(cant spell. ie perfume) (i am male) to my body. i did some research on this and there is a link to dermatitis problems, exma and all types of skin conditions as well as fatigue (i am always tired and run down) from absorbtion of fragrences into the skin.
I have stopped using any colongue on my skin (only on clothing now) and i have seen the greatest improvement EVER (in both my lips, skin in general, and energy levels). I may be speaking too soon but i really have seen a difference. In addition to this i have also been trying to cure the problem by taking essential oils morning and night, applying some evening promise oil on my forearms - mainly wrists morning and night, and taking Milk Thistle (which is a liver tonic which helpr repair liver cells. I am not sure if any of these help - Im sure they help my general wellbeing (i drink heavily about 2 nights a week and fitness could be better, i am a small build) But I can assure you that ever since ceasing the use of perfumes etc on the skin, the condition has improved SO much. Its unbelievable and i feel like i can do Anything.
So for everyome who reads this - to be sure, take a good look at your health, and what you put on your skin every day and night. Its been about 2 weeks now and im so Glad. I will post with any other details if any - I hope its all jsut positive from now on. Best of Luck Everyone
