Thanks for your reply. I have been to see the dentist. I am in the process of arranging to have my five Amalgams removed. He wants to do them all at once but I'm not so sure about that. I am also being referred to a TMJ specialist therefore I didn't discuss cavitations with him. I think it would be wise to take these steps first and see what transpires. I will certainly be having the metal crown removed. I always used to joke that the back of my mouth was like'jaws'from the Bond films. I'm not laughing now........
