Don't take calcium ascorbate.
Dear Lorena,
Your 7 year-old is one smart child.
Alas, not many people of any age
are smart enough to reach for the
vitamin C when they feel a cold coming on. Put a star on your child's chart!
Don't take vitamin C in the form of
calcium ascorbate. Always use either
sodium ascorbate (first choice)
or ascorbic acid (second choice).
And the crystals (powder) are more
absorbable and easier to take. If
you have big tablets, dice them up
before giving them to a child.
Blessings,
Owen
