Hi there Owen - vitamin C is a very interesting topic!
Thanks to you and a few others here I started C about a month ago, taking about 5-10 grams per day of powdered ascorbates. My gums don't bleed anymore when I floss (I imagine it is strengthening my other tissues as well) my skin seems tougher, and my poop is... more compact I guess, and softer... as if C breaks down food more. Maybe it's the extra acids.
I never get colds, but I do have congestion now, 5 days after I cracked a tooth - related? I dunno. Also I fractured a tendon and I think the C is helping to heal. Also I have more energy.
BTW - it took a few weeks for my body to adjust to the C doses. I had gas and some crazy bowels but now it's no problem.
