Burning didn't work for me, Question about viral lifespan.
My doctor used a laser beam to burn mine off some years ago, but it came back a few months later.
I've had it for nearly 30 years. The first 10 or 15 years, it appeared in the same spot every time. Then it started moving around, breaking out in a variety of places, including on my back.
My immune system is also compromised by Hep C, which has apparently been assisting the herpes lately, as I'm almost constantly breaking out if not taking something to prevent it.
I used lysine for a while and it stopped working, switched to olive leaf, it stopped working, tried BHT until it stopped working, went back to lysine and it worked again.
Now I'm experimenting with a chinese herb that I got from an accupunturist. It is working great at the moment, but I have to take it continuously.
I tried to ignore it a few years ago, and let my immune system take care of it. I got really, really sick with high fever, swollen glands, bad headache and nightmares of being in hell. I'm afraid it would have killed me if I hadn't taken something.
I've heard there are people who stop getting attacks after the age of 50. If this is true, perhaps the virus an average lifespan or something.
Does anybody know anything about this?
