I'm so stupid... Can someone help

I'm so stupid! A couple of days ago I fooled around with a relatively new boyfriend. I have genital herpes and he is aware of it but we haven't "gone all the way" yet. A couple of days ago we fooled around with the idea of "going all the way" until we realized we had no condom. We were already naked when we discovered this so we decided to manually take care of things. I haven't had an outbreak in over 2 years but (here's where I'm stupid) I was having one at the time and I didn't realize it. The day before I went for a long jog for the first time in a really long time. The next morning I was sore around my anus but I thought I had an ingrown hair or other irritation from the jog. I never had an outbreak around my anus and I was feeling fine, no typical symptoms like I've had before. The day after we fooled around I was in full outbreak around my anus. What are the chances I passed this along? If I'm having an outbreak around my anus does that mean my other girly part is contegious as well? We didn't have sex but he had his hand down there, not near my anus but still in the area. I'm not sure but at some point he may have put is hand in his mouth. What did I do?
