Geographic tongue is said by dentists to be an auto immune disorder. Smoking will make it worse. Mine has improved slightly after mercury Amalgam and nickel backed crown removal after two years . Conclusion: Mercury removal wont make it worse. But avoid palladium. Mercury removal will improve your breath.
