ringing in left ear

I have had a ringing noise in my left ear for many years. It does not ring as loud in the summner and even quits completely if it is a hot dry year. It gets steadily louder in the winter and is affecting my hearing. My doctor just wants to push Antibiotics , but they do not help. Does anyone know what could be the cause or cure? Tweet
