Aeroplane ear

I always get an ear problem when I go on holiday and I think it starts from the outbound flight, then feeling of being blocked up, then loss of hearing, then great pain, then straight to the doctors when I return. Someone told me about French Sea Salt drops to be taken a few days before the holiday is a marvellous cure. I cant find a thing about it on the net and I have asked lots of chemists and have drawn a blank. I am now wondering if I got the name right, has anyone heard of this or of something similar.
