Chest problems

I am overcoming bulimia right now. For the past three years, I have had bulimic episodes maybe twice a month or not even. For some reason, though, it came on full force about four months ago. I wasn't able to puke by myself, so I started taking syrup of ipecac regularly....yes, stupid, i know, but you'll do anything when your desperate. One day I consumed the syrup and absolutely nothing happened. I was in a panic and i knew right then that I had a huge problem. Well, i always knew, but it wasn't as important as being thin or having control. Anyway, its been nearly two months now, and I've certainly improved. Now for the question...Since January, I've noticed a soreness in my chest, not in the center, but on the sides near the shoulder. It started off with a slight "shock" feeling...then recently i will have a dull kind of pain. Nothing excruciating, but it certainly gets my attention where I have to stop what I am doing for a second. One night the electric "shock" feeling intensified and traveling down to my hands, but that happened only once. The soreness is constant especially when I press on it, and most of the time when I eat. I can't go to the doctor because I dont' have insurance....Does anyone have any insight for me?
